This book tells of the challenges of development facing our communities. It is told from a perspective of The Coach as he attempts to introduce Chess to a rural community as an instrument of change. We are made aware of the individual struggles the children have to deal with especially as pioneers threading a never before travelled path; we are made aware of the financial setbacks that frustrate the efforts of The Coach and equally depressing the kids as they all find themselves battling with the question of “What’s the point?”
